At HairChairNow, we understand the challenges of the salon industry because we’ve lived them. Founded by husband-and-wife team Cheri and Philip Bithell, our platform was built to bridge the gap between salon owners and beauty professionals looking for the perfect place to work.

Cheri has spent her entire career in the salon business. She remembers navigating the industry in the early eighties, searching for rental space at a time when the concept didn’t even exist. As a nail technician, she went from salon to salon, trying to find a small space for her table and clients. Just a year later, she opened her own nail salon and pioneered the concept of station rentals—an idea she had to explain again and again because it was so new. Having faced firsthand the struggles of building and maintaining a talented team, she knows exactly how difficult it can be for salon owners and beauty professionals to find each other.

Philip, with his expertise in IT, helped bring this vision to life. Together, they created HairChairNow as a simple, effective, and affordable solution for salons to post available rental spaces and job openings—giving beauty professionals an easy way to find their ideal workspace.

For too long, the industry has lacked a streamlined way to connect those who need salon space with those who have it. The only existing options were expensive, intrusive, and ineffective. HairChairNow was born out of frustration, necessity, and a love for the beauty industry.
